As a Dispatcher for Baton Rouge Cargo Service, Inc., you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services for our customers in an efficient and timely manner. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Receive and dispatch orders for transportation services
  • Monitor driver routes and provide necessary updates
  • Communicate with consignees and drivers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities
Qualification Requirements
 
  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of geographical areas and routing principles
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software
Preferred Skills:
 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Software) and systems
  • Knowledge of transportation routes and regulations
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in dispatching or a related field
  • Familiarity with dispatch software and systems
